What exactly are synbiotics?

A synbiotic is a combination of prebiotics and probiotics. Probiotics represent selected bacterial cultures. Prebiotics, on the other hand, consist of indigestible biomolecules, which serve as a food source for the beneficial bacterial cultures.

Why do I need synbiotics?

Much of what we do contributes to our digestive health: what and when we eat, our hydration, the amount of fiber we consume, our response to stress and anxiety, the quality and duration of our sleep how much exercise we have and our consumption of caffeine and alcohol. Many other disorders of modern life can also affect the gut microbiome, such as antibiotics and over-the-counter pain relievers like aspirin and ibuprofen. Carefully selected bacterial strains can restore this balance. Beneficial specimens of this type are known in technical jargon as probiotics. In order to enable high resilience and functionality, high-quality synbiotics are subject to the multi-species concept. This means the combination of different bacterial strains in order to bring about a greater overall benefit through additive, synergistic effects.

How do I take synbiotics?

It is taken daily, ideally on an empty stomach in the morning. However, the preparation can also be taken at another time without any problems. Take one capsule with a glass of water before breakfast. If you have problems swallowing the capsule, you can carefully open it and stir the contents into either water or yoghurt.
